How To: Hold a Crochet Hook

There are two main ways to hold the crochet hook.

One way is the pencil hold.

The second way is the knife hold.

Throughout the patterns, videos, and pictures, you will see me doing the knife hold. It doesn’t matter which way you hold it (and you can even adapt these two main versions for your own) as long as you are comfortable and able to easily glide the yarn through.
